The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, established in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau, stand as the premier event in the global food culture landscape. Each year, the awards sift through over 100,000 entries from approximately 230 countries and regions, offering a comprehensive snapshot of the wealth of food and drink information published globally. Recognizing excellence in various mediums, the awards honor the finest in food and wine books, whether in print or digital formats, alongside outstanding food television programs. Participation in the competition is free and accepts entries in all languages.
I am delighted to welcome the release of a new book from Indonesia titled, “Comfort Food Memoirs: Comforting Food Stories and Recipes,” a collaborative effort between the Omar Niode Foundation and Diomedia Publishing. Notably, one of the books published by the Omar Niode Foundation has been featured on the “Best of the Best Books of the Past 25 Years” by the Gourmand Awards.
