Saya merupakan penyandang cerebral palsy. Di dalam tubuh saya mengalir darah Banjar, Dayak Bugis serta Nusa Tenggara Timur. Sebagai seorang anak tuna daksa, sebagian besar hidupnya dihabiskan dengan menonton televisi di kamarnya. Dialah saya  “ATILLA ADAM”.

Aku lahir dengan keadaan sangat kecil. Kata orang sekecil botol air mineral. Aku mengalami prematur. Setelah 2 minggu, ternyata aku didiagnosis menderita cerebral palsy atau bahasa umumnya kelumpuhan batang otak.

Kondisi itu tidak mematikan semangatku untuk mengembangkan bakat dan kerja kreatifku. Aku telah mencoba banyak hal. Kekuatan jiwa mampu melampaui keterbatasan fisik, itulah yang ditunjukkan Atilla Adam kepada kita. Buku ini merupakan catatan pribadi yang ditulis Atilla Adam sendiri setelah bergabung di Komunitas Menulis Memoar.  Tak hanya bagi penderita seperti dirinya, buku ini telah menginspirasi jutaan orang di dunia.
